What's a zine?
A zine (pronounced zeen) is a self-published and self-distributed booklet that explores some theme, idea, experience, etc. Zines are affordable to make and obtain, and they tend to exist on a small, community-based scale. Anyone can make a zine about anything!
What to Expect
-We'll briefly talk about the history of zines and look at examples.
-Participants will learn how to make their own zine. The topic for this workshop is favorites!
-Participants will have the option to share their zine with the group.
Materials
Materials for this workshop will be provided. However, participants are welcome to bring old magazines, newspaper, etc. to create zines.
