Interested in zines? In this collaborative zine-making workshop you'll learn the fundamentals of zine creation, including layout and design, while also discussing the history and power of zines as tools for self-expression, Join Laura Olson from Stumbleweed as you explore designing a zine page utilizing creative writing, art, collage, or mixed media, and also covering ways to duplicate your zine for publication.
Over the course of 2.5 hours a collaborative zine will be born! You'll create one page to contribute to a collaborative workshop specific zine; creating a diverse and eclectic collection of voices and styles. It'll all come together as a beautiful zine and you'll get a copy of the final publication a few weeks after the workshop. All materials will be supplied! Feel free to bring your own magazines, art, photos, or mementos.
