About this Event
Date: Sunday 8th February
Time: 1pm - 4pm (Exhibition space open before and after)
Location: The Old Post Office, Tontine Street, Folkestone
Originating from punk and DIY cultures, zine-making is the create-it-yourself crafting of small, self-published booklets or magazines – known as zines – using simple tools like paper, scissors, glue, and printers for distribution, and often bringing together the art of photography, illustration and graphics.
The workshop will be led by Nepali diaspora collective Rodhi Ghar. All ages and abilities are welcome! Tickets are priced at £2.50; all ticket revenues will be donated to Transport for Women in Ashford.
Rodhi Ghar Collective
A new Nepali diaspora collective interweaving fashion, film, photography, performance, poetry and zines. Founded in July 2025, they recently completed a zine on the Gen Z movement, exploring the experience of being daughters of Gurkhas.
