CGA officially launch the 2026 CGA Zet Sinqe Series Runs
Central Gauteng Athletics launches the highly anticipated Zet Sinqe Series Runs 2026, marking the beginning of an exciting road running development season in partnership with the Zithulele Sinqe Foundation.
The series is designed as a strategic platform to grow athletics at the grassroots level, with a clear emphasis on nurturing emerging talent, creating competitive opportunities, and strengthening community participation. Through this initiative, young and developing athletes will be given a structured pathway to showcase their abilities, gain race experience, and progress within the provincial athletics system.
The first leg of the series, incorporating the CGA Provincial 5km and Mile Championships, is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 09 May 2026 at Kagiso Extension 13 Stadium. The Provincial Championships will add further significance and competitive edge to the event, with athletes having to compete in the series with an opportunity to be selected for provincial honours.
Entries are now officially open, and participants can secure their spot by entering online at https://www.irunsa.co.za
Athletes, clubs, and supporters are encouraged to come out in numbers to be part of the opening event and
set the tone for the 2026 series.
