ZEST Singles walk from Knightshayes to The Lost Kitchen for lunch
About this Event
Meet us at the Stables Café at 11.30am for a morning coffee — a great way to connect with everyone before we head off on our walk through the beautiful National Trust grounds and along quiet country lanes towards The Lost Kitchen.
Our table is booked for 1pm.
We’ll enjoy lunch together at this much‑loved Mid Devon restaurant, celebrated for its seasonal menus, wood‑fired cooking, and warm, welcoming atmosphere. Set amongst rolling hills near Chettiscombe, The Lost Kitchen offers a relaxed setting with wonderful countryside views.
After lunch, we’ll make our way back to Knightshayes at a comfortable pace, with the option to round off the afternoon with a coffee in the café or courtyard.
Please note: National Trust membership is not required to visit the Stables Café, shop, or second‑hand bookshop.
These walks are designed to feel relaxed and sociable — an easy way to meet like‑minded people, enjoy the outdoors, and spend time in good company.
Limited to 12 places — early booking recommended.
Who Can Attend
Open to singles over 50.
You're very welcome whether it's your first ZEST event or you've attended before. Many guests come along on their own.

When: Saturday, 22nd August at 11.30am
Location: Knightshayes, Bolham, Tiverton EX16 7RQ
Parking: Free for National Trust members, for non-members it's £1.30 for one hour, £2.60 for two hours, £3.90 for three hours and £5.20 for four hours. Car parking machines take cash only. Alternatively you can pay by card at reception.
Ticket Options:
- Walk & Eat: Join us for both the walk and the meal after.
- Eat Only: If you'd prefer to skip the walk and just join us for the meal, a limited number of 'Eat Only' tickets are available. Please book early as they may be reallocated to 'Walk & Eat' if not reserved in advance.
