This Miami-based dance company celebrates the voices of Black musicians, blending biography, social history, music, and choreography to highlight the beauty and innovations of the African diaspora. In partnership with Miami Theater Center, Miami Light Project and Culture Shock Miami, this presentation explores a century of creativity, imagination, and triumph to tell the stories of Black artists and communities whose songs rang out despite North America's challenging history. They will be performing Afro Blue and Fountain.
