About this Event
Join us to learn about Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs and our local Benicia Farmer's Market – a fantastic way to get fresh produce, fish, and meat directly from the farmer. This promotes the local economy and supports the health of both you and the planet. Join Stephanie Jordan, Sustainable Solano’s Local Food Program Manager and chef who will demonstrate a simple Summer farm-to-table dish perfect for weeknight cooking. Menu planning, storing produce to prevent waste and information on the different farms will be covered in the class, so you can really “know your farmer, know your food.” At the end, participants will enjoy a light meal together, with time for questions and conversation.
This class is generously funded by Republic Services.
