Zero HIV Stigma Day is observed each year on July 21 to raise awareness about HIV stigma.
Every person deserves dignity, respect, and compassion—no exceptions. Zero HIV Stigma Day is a global call to end the shame, fear, and discrimination that still surround HIV.
Stigma hurts. It keeps people from getting tested, seeking care, and living openly. Together, communities can change that story.
WHAT'S HAPPENING AT the ZERO HIV STIGMA DAY EVENT????
AIDS Resource will be available at the event for questions and information related to HIV, STIs, and sexual health. Also, they will have free safer sex supplies for community members (condoms, lube, dental dams), and HIV testing will be available for anyone 14 years or older who is interested. Testing is free, confidential, and the results will show in 15 minutes. All that is required to be tested is some paperwork and a quick finger prick to get a few drops of blood.
ALSO HAPPENING: SVES HYGIENE DRIVE
Community is also invited to participate in the SVES Hygiene Supplies Drive benefiting clients of AIDS Resource.
We are collecting: Shampoo, Deodorant, Body Soap, Razors, Shaving Cream, and Menstruation Products
