Off In The Woods brings their genre-bending Montana sound back to The Covellite for a night of soul, funk, reggae, and open-tuned acoustic grooves. The seven-piece band features horns, rhythm section, Hammond organ, and layered percussion and synth, creating a rich, high-energy sound built for both dancing and deep listening.
Formed by lifelong friends from Polson on the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Reservation, the band has been playing together since middle school and has spent over a decade touring across Montana and the Northwest. Along the way, they’ve shared stages with artists like George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, The Wailers, Rusted Root, and The English Beat.
This show also lands on Layne’s birthday, so expect a full Covellite celebration in his honor with a packed room and a big night of music.
