YYP 2024 Annual Meeting- York County History Center

Join the York Young Professionals in November for our annual meeting! This annual meeting is sponsored by Better York and is open to the public. The Annual Meeting includes a vote for the 2025 YYP Board as well as outreach opportunities.

Beverages will be provided by YYP and be available for members and guests. Brewery products will also be providing their classic mix of beers. Dinner will be provided by Wired Chef. All attendees will need to register in advance. Only members in good standing are able to vote.

A new era Begins!

Discover the future of the York County History Center as they embark on an exciting journey to the new campus, envisioned as a vibrant cultural anchor and communal hub in downtown York. This transformative project not only marks a significant milestone in their history but also serves as a beacon of community pride and engagement.

The York County History Center inspires the exploration of the history, people and culture of our county, state and nation. As a non-profit organization it utilizes collections, historic sites and museums to help tell the American Story.

JUSTIN ADAMS- PIANIST

Justin will be Pianist that performs for us throughout the evening. He plays multiple different genres of music. You can hear a mix of classical, pop, alternative, and classics from movies. What sets him apart is he can't read music but he learns by ear.

OUTREACH

The York Young Professionals are spreading holiday cheer across York County by supporting Community Progress Council's Holiday Sponsorship program! Each year, thanks to the generous donations of members like you, CPC ensures that children enrolled in their Early Childhood Education programs receive a special gift to brighten their holiday season. You can help continue this tradition by purchasing an item or two from their registry. Gifts can be shipped directly to CPC or dropped off at the YYP Annual Meeting and placed under the Christmas tree. Each gift will include a tag acknowledging our sponsors' support. Also, Keep an eye out for information on Giving Turesday. To support The Arc of York and Adams counties, come out to Outback Steakhouse on December 3rd and mention the Arc or show the flyer and they will donate 10% back. The proceeds will be given to help bring respect and independence to those with intellectual disabilities.

PARKING

The parking lot is located behind the building. Follow Pershing Avenue until it ends at Gay Avenue, turn right on Gay Ave. and the parking lot is on the right. There is also a parking lot directly across the street from the main entrance that can be used. It is marked permit only, however we temporarily have permission to use this for our guests. Handicapped spaces are noted in both lots. There is also metered parking along Philadelphia and Pershing as well as several City garages nearby.
