About this Event
EVENT DETAILS:
YWCA Madison invites you to our first-ever Solidarity Sunset Soirée. This new signature event honors the transformative leadership of women, illuminates the impact of YWCA Madison, and brings together the shared power and love that sustains this community. Rooted in the beloved traditions of Circle and Women of Distinction, this big celebration invites us into something expansive: a living reflection of where we have been and a collective vision of what we are becoming.
Throughout the evening, we will move together through moments of connection and celebration, including shared conversation, heartfelt tributes, vibrant art, nourishing food, and joyful dancing. We will also celebrate 50 years of Women of Distinction, a sisterhood of radiant women across generations whose leadership has shaped our local justice movements, while uplifting the impact of YWCA Madison’s work and nurturing a spirit of solidarity that continues to grow within our community.
ATTIRE:
Guests are strongly encouraged to wear lavender, pink, orange, or cream and become part of the glow that lifts our community.
THEME:
Our theme, Bold and Spirited, reflects the energy of this precious moment. Even as the world dims, there is a collective fire among us, steady, luminous, and growing. This light lives in our gathering, our generosity, our refusal to turn away, and our commitment to one another.
Join us in YWCA Madison’s golden hour as we come together in community to honor what has shaped us, stay present to the movement we are tending, and look toward what is emerging just beyond the horizon. Together, we carry forward the warmth, courage, and imagination that make a new day possible.
ACCESSIBILITY
The event will be held at Madison Marriott West. Accessibility information for Madison Marriott West can be found here.
Although the Solidarity Sunset Soirée is not a fragrance free event, we ask attendees to limit their personal use of products that contain fragrance to a minimum (i.e perfumes, lotions, room sprays, sanitizers, etc.) as these can trigger serious health issues for people with chemical sensitivities. You can learn more about why engaging in this collective behavioral change matters here.
You will have the opportunity to name your accesibility requests as part of the registration process. If you require any additional accommodation or service, or if you are experiencing any accessibility issues with the registration site, please email [email protected] with your request. We kindly request advance notice if you have access needs.
PAYMENT METHODS
It is our preference that registrants pay with a credit card at the time of registration. If you are not able to pay with a card, additional payment options are available. Please contact Danielle Bassing, [email protected] if this is an accommodation you need.
