Friday 12 December from 4 to 6
Embrace the spirit of the Winter Solstice with a mindful and creative experience in our Yule Log Creations workshop. Take a moment to slow down, connect with nature, and reflect on the themes of renewal and light as you craft a beautiful Yule log to celebrate the season.
This workshop is designed for individuals who want to reconnect with nature and set meaningful intentions during the winter season. Participants will explore the tradition of the Yule log while creating their own symbolic centerpiece. The single-session workshop lasts 2 hours, during which participants will craft their Yule log using natural materials such as pine branches, dried fruit, and candles. The session begins with a guided meditation to center the conscious theme of renewal and balance, encouraging participants to reflect on how these themes resonate in their own lives. All materials are provided.
Logs, Lights, and All Things Nice
The workshop will incorporate a conscious theme of renewal and balance, which will be brought into the space with a guided meditation at the beginning of the session. This meditation will focus on connecting with the natural cycles of the season — the transition from darkness to light. Participants will be encouraged to reflect on this theme through quiet journaling and optional sharing at the end of the workshop, exploring how they can embrace these themes in their own lives.
Twigs, Twine, and Timing
In the workshop, participants will learn how to use materials like wood, pine branches, dried fruit, and candles to explore techniques of natural arrangement, securing elements with twine, and crafting with intention. All Connect + Create workshops are suited for people with no creative experience or skills, and we encourage a positive attitude toward anyone’s work. This is not an art class — instead, participants will receive guidance through the process step-by-step and are encouraged to personalize their Yule logs with their own insights and flair.
Take a Log and Let it Glow
At the end of the workshop, participants will have created a unique Yule log, beautifully adorned with natural elements and ready for display. This Yule log will not only serve as a personal piece of festive décor but also as a reminder of the meaningful experience they had. It will symbolize their connection to the cycles of nature, renewal, and the positive affirmations of light and balance as they move forward into the brighter days ahead.
