Thoughtful wrapping with recycled charm
Sometimes the way a gift is presented speaks as much as what’s inside. It’s a Wrap is ideal for small groups of friends, community gatherings, or wellness retreats that enjoy a mindful and hands-on activity in the lead-up to the festive season. With a focus on slowing down, caring and creating something meaningful, the session is a good fit for settings where connection and presence are valued as much as the outcome.
The joy of giving
At the heart of the workshop is the theme of care – the quiet joy of showing love through attention and detail. This is gently introduced with a guided meditation, inviting participants to reflect on the people they wish to give to and the qualities they admire in them. Through light journalling or group sharing, this sense of appreciation becomes a thread running through the creative process.
Paper, twine, and little touches
Working with simple recycled materials, book pages, brown paper, twine, fabric scraps, pine sprigs and ribbons, participants explore folding, wrapping, tying, and decorating. Step-by-step guidance makes the process easy and accessible and there is plenty of space for playful touches. No prior skills are needed, just a willingness to enjoy working with the textures and colours of reused and natural materials.
Gifts wrapped with meaning
By the end, each person leaves with presents and small handmade gift bags that look unique and carry a personal story. Every wrap, knot, or layer reflects both the giver’s attention and the qualities they hold dear in the recipient. The result is more than a finished package, it’s a thoughtful expression of care, held in paper and twine.
