Hi Wise Mind Community!In an effort to increase community building in our neighborhoods, we are sponsoring and leading more events this year.
Ypsilanti Office Earth Day Clean Up Volunteer Event Saturday April 18th
In honor of Earth Day, giving back, and keeping our community clean, the Wise Mind Team is hosting a volunteer event at our Ypsilanti office on Saturday, April 18th from 10a-2p to do some outdoor work on the office property and nearby property.
Donuts, Pizza, and drinks will be provided. Come and go as you can.
The following tasks need completing:
On Our Property
-Power wash building
-Paint building (goal is to put a mural up there eventually)
-Paint utility boxes with some art to fancy them up
-Clean windows
-Clean up flower bed
-Planting
-Raking
-Weeding
-Grass cutting
-Tree trimming (?) They might just need to be removed though
On Parking Lot + Around Building Property:
-Garbage clean up
-Composting clean up
-Weeding
The following tools/supplies are needed if you have any to lend:
-Rakes
-Power Washers (I have 1)
-Paint Brushes (I have 2)
-Paint Rollers (I have 1)
-Work gloves
-Yard bags
We will bring:
-Mower
-Edger
-Blower
-Paint
-Some tall grasses to plant around the utility boxes to try and prevent folx from hanging out there.
This is open to clients and community members.
Be on the lookout for additional weekly community workshops every Friday starting in April!!!
