YPs Tour Red Hook Wastewater Treatment Plant – October 9th

Hey young professionals! Join us for an exclusive tour of the Red Hook Wastewater Treatment Plant on October 9th. Get a behind-the-scenes look at how the plant operates and learn about the process of treating wastewater. This in-person event is a great opportunity to network with fellow YPs and gain insights into environmental sustainability. Don't miss out on this unique experience!

Join us for a guided tour of the Red Hook Wastewater Resource Recovery Facility in Brooklyn led by Juju Xia.

This event is limited to NYWEA Met Chapter Young Professional members. The tour can accommodate a maximum of 30 individuals, so please register ASAP if you plan to attend.

Security Clearance: All attendees must complete and submit a NYCDEP security clearance form by Monday March 14, 2022 in order to enter the facility.

Personal protective equipment (PPE): Red Hook WRRF is an operating facility with large equipment, and requires a hard hat, high-visibility vest, close-toad shoes (boots preferred), and a mask. YPs please bring your own PPE. NYCDEP can provide STUDENT loaners for all PPE except boots as they are limited. Some of the tour will take place outdoors, so attendees should dress for the weather.
