Youth Water Bath Canning - Applesauce

Join us at the Northwest Education & Equine Center for our first water bath canning workshop, and you will leave with a brand new skill and a jar of homemade applesauce!

Youth participants will learn every step of the process, including washing, peeling, coring, milling, cooking, and canning delicious applesauce, right in time to make gifts for the holiday season. Developing skills in food preservation is an excellent way to prevent food waste and develop greater knowledge of the food system, and water bath canning is an excellent way for beginners to get started.

Attendance is free, but registration through Eventbrite is required. Space is limited, and additional dates may be added to accommodate demand.
