Marian & the Merry Men by Lynn Johnson, Marian isn’t like the other ladies at Nottingham Castle. She has little patience for embroidery and would much prefer to be outside, honing her ace archery skills. She also has no interest in matrimony to Sir Guy of Gisbourne, one of Prince John’s all-too-eager lackeys. Once she learns that Prince John is up to no good, taxing Nottingham’s poor for a king’s ransom he has no intention of paying, she enlists minstrel Alana Dale to seek help from famed Sherwood Forest outlaw Robin Hood and his renowned Merry Men.
