Youth Mental Health First Aid Training Course

A course designed to train individuals on the signs and symptoms of mental illness and equip them to respond to those experiencing this.
About this Event

This course is for adults who work with or interact with youth. You must be at least 18 years old to attend. It is a course designed to train individuals on the signs and symptoms of mental illness and equip them to respond to those who may be experiencing a mental health challenge or crisis. This course addresses some challenges unique to youth. Similar to how CPR or traditional first aid helps you build skills to assist until professional help arrives in a medical emergency, MHFA helps you respond in mental health or substance use situations. After registration closes, you will be contacted with further instructions on MHFA Connect. This is where you will complete a brief survey prior to class as well as complete your final test and evaluations after the session.
