About this Event

Youth Mental Health First Aid Training

Help young people thrive by knowing how to respond when they need support.

Join us for an engaging, interactive Youth Mental Health First Aid training and gain the knowledge and confidence to recognize, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges in adolescents ages 12–17.

During this in-person course, you'll learn the Mental Health First Aid Action Plan (ALGEE)—a practical, evidence-based approach for identifying when a young person may be struggling, offering initial support, and connecting them with appropriate professional and community resources.

Through discussion, interactive activities, and real-world scenarios, you'll develop practical skills to support the youth in your life before a crisis develops. Whether you're a parent, teacher, coach, mentor, faith leader, healthcare professional, or simply someone who cares about young people, this course will equip you to respond with confidence and compassion.

The training encourages open dialogue in a welcoming environment where participants learn from one another while building the skills needed to make a lasting impact. Together, we can create a community where every young person has someone who knows how to help.
