Please note you will be required to complete mandatory pre-requisite work which is completed online through the National Council portal. Information wil be sent to your e-mail provided upon completing registration.
The pre-req work is a brief 10 minute survey asking you about your current knowledge related to Youth Mental Health.

Info: Training Objectives Include:
β’ How typical adolescent development differs from mental health challenges
β’ Overview of risk and protective factors affecting youth
β’ Common warning signs of mental health and substance use issues
β’ Impact of trauma, bullying, social media, and stress on young people
β’ Emphasis on early identification and support rather than diagnosis
Participants learn to recognize symptoms associated with:
β’ Anxiety and depression
β’ Eating disorders
β’ Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
β’ Substance use challenges
β’ Disorders where psychosis may occur
β’ Disruptive behavior disorders
This course is primarily for adults who interact regularly with youth, such as:
β’ Parents, family members, caregivers, guardians β’ Teachers, school staff, and support personnel
β’ Coaches, youth group leaders, camp counselors β’ Health and human services workers β’ Community volunteers, neighbors, mentors
