Did you enjoy youth lock-ins as a child, and want your teen/preteen to have the same opportunity (but without religious pressure)? Our youths have planned a rave themed lock-in for the teens and preteens of the Pagan community, and your invited!
Our 2026 Youth Lock In is a free event that is open to ages 9-15. This is a night filled with glow-in-the-dark games, prizes, pizza, kandi (bead jewelry) making crafts, movies, and more! Our goal is to offer our youths an opportunity to make great memories (without electronics), make new friendships, and gain experience with planning events for their community.
Registration is required for any youth that will be attending our lock-in. Please register by July 7th. We have space for 20 campers, and guardians will receive an email to confirm that their child is enrolled.
𝗗𝗥𝗢𝗣 𝗢𝗙𝗙 / 𝗣𝗜𝗖𝗞 𝗨𝗣 𝗜𝗡𝗙𝗢
⭐Drop offs from 6-8 pm on Friday, July 10 at UUCCI 7850 W. Goeller Blvd Columbus, IN 47201 (front door)
⭐Cell phones and electronics can taken home by guardians at drop off or put in a labelled bag and secured in a locked office by a volunteer. Children are able to use their phones to call parents at any time, but not for entertainment.
⭐ Doors lock at 8 pm.
⭐Pick up at 12 pm on Saturday, July 11. Phones and electronics will be handed to guardians at the time of pick up.
𝗟𝗢𝗖𝗞-𝗜𝗡 𝗥𝗨𝗟𝗘𝗦
⭐Doors lock at 8pm for the safety of our youths. No visitors or parents may enter the building at this time unless they are picking up their child.
⭐If a youth leaves the building without adult supervision after lock in, their parent will be called to pick them up regardless of the time.
⭐NO personal video games, trading cards, or electronic devices
⭐If you're not sure if you're allowed to bring it, it's probably not a good idea
⭐All lock-in participants must respect others’ physical boundaries. Inappropriate behavior (bullying, harassment, etc) is not permitted.
⭐ Be considerate and respectful of other participants and leaders
⭐ Be respectful of the building
⭐ If you see something, say something. If someone is doing something that seems unsafe or is making others uncomfortable, let an adult volunteer know.
⭐ Each youth will have their own 6x6 ft "parking spot" in the sanctuary. All youths will be in their parking spot at 2am unless going to the bathroom (one at a time). This ensures that our volunteers can sleep in shifts while still having two volunteers supervising the youths at all times.
⭐ You don't have to sleep during the lock in, but we do ask that youths be respectful of their friends who do need their sleep. Talking, boardgames by flashlight, and glow in the dark crafts are allowed during quiet hours.
⭐Volunteers and youths will follow the rule of three, ensuring that two people can not be behind closed doors one-on-one. What does this mean? Two youths can hang out in an open area, but not in a utility closet. Two youths can face paint in the bathroom mirror, with a third person present or with the door open. A youth can help a volunteer clean up with another person present, or with the door open. This is to ensure the safety of our youths and our volunteers.
⭐THE ENFORCEMENT OF THESE LOCK-IN RULES IS EVERYONE’S RESPONSIBILITY. By registering your youth, you agree that you and your youth have read the above rules and agree to abide by them.
𝗘𝗔𝗖𝗛 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗟𝗗 𝗕𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚
