Youth Justice Leadership Forum

On a typical day in NSW during 2023–2024, around 1,000 young people aged 10 and over were under youth justice supervision, and more than half were First Nations youth.
Youth Justice is a leadership forum focused on the challenges and trends shaping the youth justice sector in Greater Western Sydney. The event is designed to centre young people and those who support them, creating space for dialogue, collaboration, and action.
Delivered in partnership with Western Sydney Community Legal Centre, the forum features key voices including the NSW Minister for Youth, Rose Jackson MLC, and the NSW Advocate for Children and Young People, Zoë Robinson. Together with legal experts and community leaders, the forum will explore how to better support young people navigating the legal system, and what trauma-informed practice looks like in the Western Sydney context.
The forum brings together young people, youth representatives, community workers, and service providers to examine current trends, identify early intervention points, and share strategies to prevent youth crime. As part of the Western Sydney Leadership Forum series, it provides a platform to elevate service delivery, drive social and cultural change, and strengthen connections among leaders committed to improving outcomes for young people.
