About this Event

Join us on our new family friendly fire circle evenings where you can share songs, poems, tell stories or sit back and enjoy the performance at Calthorpe Community Garden.

Expect choirs, drum circles and workshops from Goodenough College on these evenings.

There will also be jacket potatoes and drinks for sale.

These folk fire circles will all be themed as follows:

• 22/07/26 Local Roots and stories
• 29/07/26 Urban Nature and Growing
• 05/08/26 Lammas (Food and harvest) - This evening will be a food exchange and a chance for people to share stories and recipes that bring people together.
• 12/08/26 Repair and Reuse
• 19/08/26 Health and movement - Additional storytelling session with Michael Holland https://www.growingunderstandings.co.uk/ and Sara Haq Instagram @monkeytreepro
• 26/08/26 Art, Music and celebration - On the last fire folk session we plan to showcase the performance skills the children attending Calthorpe's summer holiday programme have learnt. This will become Calthorpe's Youth Festival!
