"Youth Djembe" is BACK at the Waterloo Center for the Arts!Kids will learn the fundamentals of Djembe drumming, from its origin to basic technique. Kids will start to develop drum skills by playing simple compositions in small groups. In addition, Kids will also start to develop the craft of 'Drum Accompaniment' (the ability to drum along with recorded or live music.).
By the end of these four weeks, the seed will have been planted, and your kiddo will understand the history and basics of Djembe! Leave the sticks at home. Drums will be provided to participants courtesy of Drum Iowa and the Waterloo Center of the Arts.
Class sizes are very limited! Youth aged 7-17 are welcome. Parents are welcome.
