Youth DJ lesson: Words Beats & LIfe Hip-Hop Experience

Whether your just a music fan or have dreams of rocking crowds, this experience is for you.

The experience will be a 2 class introduction to DJ mixing with a veteran instructor from the DMV area.

• Get hands on training to learn basic techniqe and beat match songs together
• Learn some hip-hop history
• Build your skills by starting with a laptop & DJ controller to mixing vinyl starting with this series.

The entire experience will be about 1.5 hours long per class with each of the classes happening across 2 consecutive weekends.

FOR YOUTH ONLY

Guests ages 8 to 17 years of age can attend

up to 20 guests per class

This is a group activity, not a private lesson. Be prepared to interact with other aspiring DJs and hip-hop enthusiasts as you or your child work with our instructor.

For groups larger than 5, contact the organizer before you purchase your tickets to allow us to make special accommodations.

All trainers are authorized to work with young people and have successfully passed a DC Public Schools bacground check.

• 8/15 and 8/22

Your single ticket price covers both days of classes. You must attend the 2 classes you sign up for, you cannot reschedule your second class for a nother time.

Where:

The Words Beats & Life DJ & Production studio is in the community wing of St Stephen’s Church in Columbia Heights, DC. Enter in the parking lot on the 16th St NW side of the church and enter at the side door. You will need to contact the staff number provided in your order confirmation to be let in the building.

Parking:

There is free street parking on Newton and Meridian Streets NW. Please read the signs to make sure you are in compliance with the neighborhood regulations. Please do not park in the church lot, all spaces are reserved.
