On Saturday, NOVEMBER 9, 2024, the Appalachian Sportsman's Club and TWRA are hosting a free youth coon hunt for ages 16 and under. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the clubhouse located at
225 John Alfred Loop
Elizabethton, TN 37643
Young hunters will be placed with a guide and a coon hound, unless they bring their own dog. Hunters ages 13 and up are required to have a small game hunting license and hunters and guides ages 16 and up are required to have a Combo Hunt and Fish license and a WMA Permit. All state wildlife laws and North Cherokee WMA Rules apply.
There will be food, giveaways, and more.
All youth participants will need to register on the TWRA Events website and complete the questionnaire https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/3QCWQB3 by September 21, 2024.
All adults who wish to volunteer to bring their coonhound(s) to assist with guiding youth hunters need to complete the questionnaire at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/3J2FJ3K by September 21, 2024.
By registering for this event, you consent to allowing the partner hosting the event to have access to your name, address, phone number, and email address. The questionnaires will provide us with information needed to order food and t-shirts for those in attendance. If you do not complete these, then it is likely you will not receive these accommodations.
