Join us at the UW-La Crosse's NEWLY RENOVATED indoor climbing gym at the REC center. ORA is covering your entry fee on March 8th from 10:30am - Noon to try it out for free. This open house is for ages 7-12 to experience bouldering and top-roping with other kids. The goal of the open house is to determine if there's a desire in the community to host a Youth Climbing Club, and what better way to know than to try it for yourself! There is no registration for this event, however we will cap this event at 30 participants for safety, so be sure to swing by right away!All kids must be accompanied by an adult, though adults do not need to participate. Gear (harness and ropes) are provided by UWL, but please wear clean sneakers to climb in. All participants will be required to complete a UWL Rec center waiver. ORA is excited to provide this experience for free so you can get to know how climbing is fun, builds confidence, creates an individual experience but alongside others, and is a great way to stay in shape while stepping outside of your comfort zone.
The UW-La Crosse Recreational Eagle Center (REC) is located on the North end of campus, just off of La Crosse Street. It's suggested to use street metered parking on 16th Street, or Parking Ramp M, both on the North side of the building.
A permit is required to park on campus. Those without permits may use the PASSPORT Parking mobile app to pay for parking.
