About this Event
This practical, in-person workshop is designed for youth athletes (12–17) and parents who want to better understand how to improve performance long term.
Delivered by strength & conditioning coach Mark Childs (MC Performance Centre) and performance nutritionist Gemma McGuinness (Verus Performance), this session breaks down how to train, fuel, and develop properly through adolescence.
You’ll learn how training may need to adapt during adolesence, how to build strength and movement foundations through different areas of growth, and how to reduce injury risk. We’ll also cover effective nutrition strategies to support training, recovery, and performance with long term habits in mind.
This workshop is ideal for athletes across all sports and parents looking to better support their development.
You’ll leave with a clear understanding of what actually matters - plus practical strategies you can apply straight away to improve performance and support long-term development.
