In this winter day camp, students will explore printmaking and the idea of the multiple by making Gelli plate monoprint banners. Students will select a short word to define and explore, then develop one print per letter. Students will use the Gelli plates to create a unique print for each letter that uses acrylic paint, stencils, and layers to express their ideas and creativity. Through this process, each printed letter tells its own story. Additionally, students hang attach their letters to string so their banners can be hung and displayed.
