Youth Architect Academy (Ages 6-13) FREE

This workshop introduces youth to the world of design through creative problem-solving. Participants will explore how spaces are imagined and built, and how architecture can reflect the culture and needs of a community.

Through hands-on activities and collaborative discussions, participants will begin to learn basic architectural principles like shape, scale, structure, and function. They will think critically about the spaces they live in and how they can be improved. The workshop offers an introduction to neighborhood design and urban planning in a way that’s engaging and rooted in real-world relevance.

Inspired by ideas from Hip Hop By Design, this session encourages them to see their surroundings as full of creative possibility. They will leave the workshop with a better understanding of space and a new approach to design. No drawing skills or prior knowledge required.
