Citrus County Parks and Recreation is excited to announce the addition of archery to its outdoor recreational programs. This initiative supports our goal of providing a diverse range of athletic and recreational opportunities for the community, promoting inclusivity, and encouraging healthy lifestyles through various activities. Starting in January 2025, Parks and Recreation will launch a new program called "Basic Archery—Introduction to 3D Target Archery." This program is designed for youth aged 8 and older who are interested in learning the fundamentals of archery. Participants will not only develop essential skills but also experience the many benefits that archery offers. In addition to being a fun activity, archery helps build self-confidence, mental discipline, strength, and coordination.
