Creative Wellness Collaboration: Alternative Healing Through Art, Yoga, and SoundPresented by Dandelion Art Coalition Unite
This alternative healing collaboration provides equitable access to quality mental and behavioral health services for underserved communities. We offer traditional and alternative forms of group therapy alongside holistic wellness practices that nurture mental well-being, personal growth, and stronger connections.
Our Approach:
Dandelion Gallery & Studios offers a creative, safe space where individuals are empowered to heal, express, and cultivate the good within. We believe healing happens through many pathways — creativity, movement, mindfulness, and sound.
Trauma-Informed Yoga with Erika Gorr
Erika Gorr leads trauma-informed yoga sessions (including chair and restorative yoga) for youth and families. Her healing approach is rooted in the 8 Limbs of Yoga and an asset-based, mindfulness-driven method. Through breath, mindful movement, and intention, Erika guides participants to release negative energy, foster inner healing, and reconnect with their sense of peace.
We provide yoga mats, pillows, chairs, and supportive instruments to ensure comfort and accessibility for all levels.
Music & Sound Meditation
Experience healing through sound using calming music, nature sounds, singing bowls, and more, participants are guided into deep relaxation — reducing stress, restoring balance, and nurturing the spirit.
Mindfulness Art Activity
The session concludes with a mindfulness art activity, providing an expressive outlet for reflection, centering, and emotional release.
Session Details:
Ages: 8+ (must be able to follow and appreciate group yoga)
Group Size: Minimum of 10 participants per session.
