As almost 50% of the global population will vote in 2024, what are some of the lessons we can learn from past elections and democratic upheavals. Is voter misinformation a new phenomenon? What will elections look like a decade from now? How can the lessons of the past inform our understanding of our democratic future? And how has the rise of social media changed the way people engage with parties and policies?
