Your Taxes. Big Sky's Infrastructure Future.
About this Event
The road you drive every day, the water you depend on, and how fast help can reach you if wildfire strikes.
Join us to learn more about how Big Sky can keep more of its own property tax dollars working locally. Big Sky's water systems, roads, and wildfire readiness were not designed for the community we've become. Our population has grown 54% in the past decade alone, and our infrastructure has not kept up. Our need for investment has never been greater.
We'll cover a proposed Targeted Economic Development District (TEDD). The designation that would let Big Sky use Tax Increment Financing (TIF) to direct future property tax collections back into our own water, transportation, and wildfire infrastructure. Hear how the district would work, what it would fund, and how you can make your voice heard before the Gallatin and Madison County Commissioners vote. This isn't a ballot measure. It will take a united voice from our community, and the commissioners need to hear directly from us.
