About this Event
3-Hour Workshop
Date: Wednesday, November 6, 2024
Time: 10am-1pm
Description: Participants will write and share short, "tall tales", true stories with exaggerated elements. These can either be personal stories, or stories told to them. Participants will embroider these stories on vintage handkershiefs that will be sewn into a quilt by the instructor.
Participants will write responses to the following prompt: "You wouldn't believe me If I Told You, but____________________________________________________."
Students will shorten the story to one or two sentences to embroider on a vintage handkerchief. It is ideal if participants have some embroidery experience, but it is not absolutely necessary.
