A familiar is a magical companion believed to assist a witch or magical person—often an animal with a little more mystery, mischief, and magic than your average pet. Your pet has been keeping secrets. October seems like an excellent time to find out what they are.
Send us a photo of your pet and we'll help you turn them into the magical familiar they were clearly destined to be. Witchy cat? Celestial golden retriever? Tiny chihuahua with hidden bat wings? Fairy-winged guinea pig? Absolutely.
You'll paint your pet on a 12×12 canvas, then give their portrait a little supernatural upgrade. We'll provide tracing sheets for common magical elements like witch hats, moons, stars, wings, bats, mushrooms, potion bottles, florals, sparkles and more, so you don't have to freehand your way into another dimension.
IMPORTANT: Please email us a clear photo of your animal exactly as you want to paint them. If you want a headshot, send a headshot. If you want their whole body sitting pretty, send that. The pose and angle in your photo will be the pose and angle we prepare for your painting.
We'll have 2.5 hours to trace, paint and transform your perfectly ordinary household pet into something considerably more suspicious.
$42 per painter. All supplies and your custom pet tracing are included. This is an all ages class but participants under 13 require adult supervision.
