Your Light Still Shines
About this Event
Join us on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at the Lincoln Way West Auditorium, for an inspiring evening dedicated to raising awareness, fostering hope, and breaking the stigma surrounding mental health, suicide, and substance use disorder. Your Light Still Shines brings people together to remember those we've lost, support those who are struggling, and empower individuals and families with the knowledge and resources needed to make a difference.
Through powerful personal stories, educational presentations, interactive exhibits, and connections with local organizations, attendees will gain valuable insight into mental wellness, suicide prevention, substance use disorder, and recovery. More than 30 community organizations will be available to provide prevention, treatment, and support resources, while opportunities for reflection and remembrance offer a meaningful way to honor loved ones impacted by these issues.
Whether you are seeking information, supporting a loved one, or simply looking to learn how you can help create a healthier, more compassionate community, this event offers education, inspiration, and hope. Together, we can reduce stigma, encourage meaningful conversations, and remind one another that recovery is possible, help is available, and no one has to face these challenges alone.
