About this Event
In 60 minutes you'll go from "I can't dance" to moving to live salsa music with a real partner. No experience, no partner, no commitment required.
This is a one-off taster designed for adults who have never danced salsa before. No partner, no experience, no course to commit to. Just one afternoon to try it, meet people, and find out if it's something you want more of.
Sundays at 2pm in central Leeds. The easiest possible way to try something new.
Who this is for
Adults who want a different kind of weekend. People who are new to Leeds and looking for a way in. Anyone who wants to do something social that isn't another brunch or another scroll. Couples after a shared hobby. People who'd usually never sign up to a dance class but are quietly curious.
If you're starting from zero, you're exactly who this is built for. Everyone in the room is.
What happens in the class
You'll learn the basic salsa step, how to move with a partner, and the foundations of leading or following. We rotate partners throughout, so you're not stuck with anyone, and you don't need to bring one. The pace is calm. We explain things clearly and break them down so you actually get it.
By the end you'll be moving to the music. Not perfectly. Well enough to feel it.
The honest part
Most people come on their own, which makes the room friendly because everyone is in the same boat. There's no performance, no pressure to be good, no one watching to judge. People who walk in saying "I have no rhythm" tend to walk out planning their next class.

- Trainers are fine. Smoother-soled shoes work best as they let you turn easily

After the taster
If you enjoy it, we run a 4-week beginner course where the basics get built properly. No pressure to sign up on the day. The taster exists for one reason: to let you see if salsa fits.
