You Closet Catwalk Fashion Show celebrates creativity, sustainability and of course, YOU!We invite fashion enthusiasts, trendsetters, and eco-conscious individuals to witness a unique runway experience where models showcase stunning outfits crafted entirely from their existing closets.
Date: Thursday, April 24, 2025
Time: 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM
Location: The Brackendale Art Gallery
Dress Code: Come dressed in your favourite outfit from your own closet! Embrace your personal style and show off your fashion creativity.
Event Highlights:
- Runway Presentation: Watch as models strut their stuff in bold, fresh looks, all curated from their personal wardrobes. Each outfit tells a story, highlighting the versatility and potential of everyday clothing.
- Guest Speakers: Burcu from Burcu's Angels in Vancouver. Hear from fashion expert and sustainability advocate Burcu who will share tips on how to revamp your closet, make eco-friendly fashion choices and choose a style that's true to you.
- Interactive Workshops: Participate in a mini-workshops where you can learn how to style your own garments in innovative ways,
giving new life to your wardrobe and even walk the runway.
- Sustainability Focus: In a world where fast fashion dominates, this event promotes the idea of reusing and reimagining what we already own. Discover how to mix and match pieces to create new styles while reducing waste.
Guests are all encouraged to dress to express, up or down, as you feel called to. We strive to foster an inclusive space for all bodies, ages, genders and folx. Expression is beautiful and so are you. We welcome you to come as you are and enjoy the night with us.
Ways you can be part of the show:
1) Out of Your Closet Catwalk - YOU (or your neighbour) will parade down the aisle in your chosen outfit to some bumpin’ beats and bask in the oohs and aahs showering you.
2)Get Styled! - Stylists will select from the array of pre-loved pieces and style models, showcasing creative and cool outfits 2nd hand fashion can offer.
Want to participate in being in the spotlight? Here’s how:
Model your own outfit: Send a photo of your outfit ideas to [email protected] by March 13 2025 (extended deadline)! Cell phone and selfie photos accepted.
Get styled: Send us an email to [email protected] letting us know “I want to get styled!” with your name, phone number, photo and a short description of any clothing preferences including anything you do or don’t like to wear.
