A new twist on an established event! The Washington County Public Library and The Castle have joined forces to bring you an even better “Book Club for Kids”, renamed the “Young Historians Book Club”! All books and associated hands-on activities being utilized in the club will also explore how these books are connected to local people and historical events in our Pioneer City and the Mid-Ohio Valley. The book club will meet in February, April, June, August, and October at the Marietta Branch Library. Attend one, or attend them all! The Young Historians Book Club will meet on Thursday, February 6 at 5 pm and includes activities and discussion based on the book “Danger Along the Ohio” by Patricia Willis. This event is open to ages 9-12. Registration is required by stopping by the Youth Services Department at the Marietta Branch and checking out a copy of the book to read before the event. Questions?
