Calling all future engineers, inventors and railway enthusiasts!

Join us at the Vale of Rheidol Railway for an unforgettable hands on railway experience with Christopher Vine, author of the much loved Peter’s Railway books.

Young engineers will discover the fascinating world of steam trains and railway engineering through interactive activities and behind the scenes insights. There’s even the chance to drive a real steam locomotive!

• Entry to the Engine Shed Museum home to an extensive collection of historical narrow gauge locomotives and rolling stock.
• The chance to drive a real steam engine – 2′ gauge ‘Wren’ !
• Found out how a steam locomotive works
