Demo Day is the finale of Young Builders Weekend: College Edition, a free three-day program from Anchor Institute. Students ages 18 to 23 spend the weekend building or validating a real business with mentors, then pitch it live to judges and to you.
The weekend
- Friday, Nov 20: Ideation. Find a problem people will pay to solve, in a world you know, and pick your idea.
- Saturday, Nov 21: Build and validate. Make it real with AI tools, go for a first sale, and talk to people in town to learn what they want.
- Sunday, Nov 22: Plan and pitch. Turn the story and results into a pitch, then pitch to judges at Demo Day, followed by awards.
Prize money is meant to grow the winners’ businesses. The best may also be selected for the Anchor Fellowship.

Demo Day is free and open to the public. Bring friends, family and classmates. Just RSVP, and add a free ticket for everyone you’re bringing.
Want to compete instead?
- Who: anyone ages 18 to 23. You don’t need to be a business major or have any experience.
- Spots: up to 20 business builders.
- Deadline: apply by November 3. We select on a rolling basis and start emailing decisions November 3, so apply as soon as you can.
- 100% free, start to finish. Great food, with catering from local favorites. No idea needed. Build with AI, with access to the tools you need to build in a weekend.
