Youth won’t want to miss the final Young Audiences performance of the summer that will feature Elizabeth Kenya, an incredible storyteller, performer, singer, and educator who was born in Kenya. She’ll bring some of Africa to Abilene by taking youth on a safari through Africa with her stories. Kahura is the founder of the African Safari Program, and through her performances she shares the importance of cultural values, how they influence our identities, and the interdependence of individuals within the community. What animals will we encounter? Lions? Zebras? Giraffes? Come out to this magical performance and see for yourselves. Two sessions will be hosted in the morning and the afternoon so you can attend the one that best suits your schedule.
