Join artist Vivian Krishnan and writer Elaine Bearden to learn the elements of visual and written storytelling in graphic novels and create a graphic novel to take home.Vivian is an Artist and Costume Designer whose art projects include designing theatrical costumes, multimedia, illustrations, and writing children’s books. Learn more about Vivian’s work on her website. Elaine is a youth services librarian and writer who creates the words for visual stories.
The Young Artist's Studio is a series of art workshops sponsored by The Urbana Free Library and The Urbana Arts & Culture Program designed to offer youth an opportunity to explore the arts. All events in the series are free and open to the public. The series is designed for children ages 5 to 11 (7 and under with a caregiver.)
