The musicians of the Festival Mozaic Young Artists Program perform this free mini-concert at the Atascadero Library to last about 30 minutes. The event will include selections from Prokofiev's first string quartet, along with some commentary from the performers.
ABOUT:
Festival Mozaic is proud to present the second annual Young Artist Program, a groundbreaking initiative in collaboration with the esteemed Colorado College Summer Music Festival (CCSMF), where Scott Yoo is on faculty. A small group of students from Juilliard and the University of Georgia was selected as part of the CCSMF audition process to form the Festival Mozaic “Young Artist String Quartet.”
They will travel to the SLO Music & Arts Festival to participate in chamber music coachings and community outreach events during the Festival. The program will culminate in a full-length Community Concert on July 19 at the Harold J. Miossi CPAC, in which the Young Artists will be joined in performance by their mentors, Scott Yoo and Bion Tsang.
Mini-Concerts with the Young Artist String Quartet will be presented July 15-18 at the libraries in Atascadero, Shandon, Los Osos, Nipomo, and San Luis Obispo. Please share with and invite friends!
