Young Artists Drawing Academy

Guided activities led by renown Atlanta-based artists will help children express themselves — no experience needed, and all skill levels are welcome! Food and art supplies will be provided. This event will be a great opportunity for kids to build confidence, spark imagination, and have fun with art!

This class is in allignment with Project Overcome serving as the finale of a community art project, which has been a collaboration between Emory University and KIPP Atlanta Collegiate to celebrate the resilience of our people in the face of current socioeconomic challenges. Using cancer patient-donated radiation therapy masks as a unique canvas, students were encouraged to explore the feelings of resilience and hope through the use of fiber arts. An exhibition of the work by these talented student artists will be on display for all to enjoy and to learn more about the exciting world of Radiation Oncology!
