Jacob's Bio
Jacob Rockower, 17, is a senior at the Nueva High School in San Mateo, California. His musical journey began at the age of three and he currently studies under the direction of Professor Emeritus Hans Boepple of Santa Clara University.
A two-time award winner of National YoungArts, Jacob has competed and been invited to multiple international competitions, including the 2024 Ettlingen and 2025 Aarhus International Piano Competitions, the Cooper International Competition at Oberlin, and the 2025 Sendai International Music Competition.
Jacob has attended numerous summer music programs and festivals, including the Aspen Music Festival and School, the Tanglewood Music Festival, and the Music@Menlo Chamber Music Festival.
In addition to his accomplished solo piano career, he is the pianist of the Aves Trio, Gold Medalist of the 2025 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition, first place and Grand Prize recipient of the 2024 Coltman Chamber Music Competition, and an NPR From The Top fellow.
