Through quilting, storytelling, and community collaboration, You Are Not Forgotten brings together works that honour Residential School Survivors and explore personal connections to the Grand River. The exhibition features the Quilts for Survivors, handmade works created by the Six Nations Piecemakers Quilt Club, alongside more than 70 quilt squares and stories from individuals living throughout the Grand River watershed.
As part of the evening's opening ceremonies, performers from Grandview Theatre Company and the Canadian Centre for Rural Creativity will present theatrical interpretations inspired by stories from the Grand River Quilt Project and the Mohawk Institute.
