This event celebrates the richness and diversity of the local community by transforming the entire city into a Learning Festival—where learning is shared, nurtured, and open to everyone.
Learning is no longer confined within four classroom walls, tied to a single method, or defined by one teacher.
Here, learning can happen anytime, anywhere. Anyone can be a teacher. Knowledge flows not only from schools but from the community itself. Every corner becomes a campus for lifelong learning.
“Da Nang – The Learning City” will be a safe and vibrant space for you to connect deeply with yourself and with others; a space to test ideas, bring your initiatives to life, and meet a community of open, curious learners. Every interaction becomes a chance to connect, discover, and grow, with the spirit of holistic learning, integrating head, body and soul.
Our objectives:
This festival is not only a playground for experimenting and connecting—it also carries three key objectives:
1. Building a Community of Learning and Connection
- Create a community with a shared dream of nurturing joy, well-being, and regeneration in Da Nang while discovering the city’s people and land.
- Foster a space that breaks through barriers of age, expertise, or gender identity, and therefore, nurtures genuine human connections and lasting learning spirit.
2. Re-imagining Education
- Open up a free and inclusive learning environment for all.
- Encourage experiential learning, peer-to-peer learning, intrinsic motivation, self-directed learning, and context-based learning.
- Embrace learning anywhere, with anyone, in any format, on any topic. Everyone becomes the creator of their learning journey.
3. Cultivating a Spirit of Giving & Sharing
Practice a “gift economy” culture where community members share resources such as knowledge, experience, or physical spaces, to enrich the whole community.
🗒️A SPECIAL NOTE
We begin this festival without knowing exactly what its program will look like until just before the event! Because this is a festival for the community and created by the community, it begins with openness and beautiful blank spaces waiting for you to fill.
We hope we will embrace the unknown, be with the uncertainty and welcome the surprises.
TWO ROLES YOU CAN TAKE PART IN:
🌸 FLOWER – THE HOST
As a Flower (Host), you will design and facilitate an activity of your choice. You can ask yourself: what are you called to host at this moment? Topics are not necessarily an area of expertise, but can be a challenge you want to address, an idea you want to try, a conversation you want to invite others to join you. You can offer and call out different sessions during the festival. Apart from that, you can attend activities by other hosts. You can invite a friend to host something with you if being alone sounds scary for you. It takes courage to become a host, we understand, however, it’s a safe space for you to step out of your comfort zone.
✨Gifts you will receive as a host:
- Meet and connect with people who share your values or are inspired by what you offer.
- Share your gifts with the community and harvest the fruits, takeaways of participants in the end.
- Challenge yourself and develop through the hosting experience.
🐝 BEE – THE PARTICIPANT
- The Bee, diligently pollinating and gathering nectar. You get to explore the essence of flowers, of life, and the gifts offered by the Hosts. You are free to join any activity that sparks your curiosity, interests, or needs.
- A special strength of the bee is its ability to fly between different places and pollinate. Participants have the freedom to move between learning locations and, importantly, to weave together everything they experience into a personal journey, a lesson with many points of connection. Please note that you’ll need to patiently wait for Hosts to be selected first, so you can see which topics they will lead.

- Explore the “sweet treasure” offered by the Hosts.
- Freely choose any activity you want to join.
- Contribute your presence, your energy, your insights—to help co-create a meaningful learning space with the Hosts.
