Get ready for an unforgettable experience as Yorkville goes all out to commemorate America’s 250th birthday during the 2026 Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, July 4th! The celebration will include Yorkville’s favorite traditions with the annual parade, local food and family activities at Town Square – all culminating to a monumental evening display!
This year’s celebration will feature a brand-new patriotic FIREWORKS & DRONE SHOW that amplifies the exciting fireworks show Yorkville is known for by adding hundreds of illuminated pyrotechnic drones! This show will feature a musical soundtrack synchronized to the patriotic imagery and exhilarating fireworks to create an unforgettable experience of light, sound and celebration!
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
7:30am: Parade Line-Up Begins
Location: Yorkville High School (797 Beecher Dr, Yorkville)
9:00am: Parade Begins
Location: See Map
10:00-Noon: Town Square Activities*
10:30am: Children’s Footraces*
Location: Town Square Park (301 N Bridge St, Yorkville) *Activities will begin immediately after the parade. Times are approximate.
9:30pm: Fireworks & Drone Show Location: Corner of Rt47 & Countryside Pkwy

All Independence Day activities are free to everyone, except for food and drink purchases, and are subject to change without notice. IN CASE OF RAIN The Parade, Town Square Activities and Fireworks are rain or shine events and will continue as scheduled unless lightning/thunderstorms or extreme rain is present. Please check the United City of Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department's Facebook page for weather related updates.
